Esce oggi il nuovo lavoro dei Foals. Si tratta di un album di remix intitolato Foals Tapes, terzo capitolo della saga "Tapes' Series" dell'etichetta discografica berlinese !K7 Records. (I primi due erano stati incisi rispettivamente da The Rapture e The Big Pink).

Il tutto sulla falsa riga di un mixtape su cassetta, con tanto di divisione, almeno concettuale, in lato A e lato B. L'album riflette i 5 anni di vita della band, molti dei quali trascorsi in tour su un vecchio van delle poste, allietati da Math rock, musica popolare greca, i primi demo dei Metronomy, Arthur Russell. Ne scaturisce un mix eclettico, che miscela elettronica, world music,gospel e house, come afferma Edwin Congreave, Dj e tastierista della band.

Released today the new work of Foals. This is a remix album titled Foals Tapes, the third chapter of the saga "Tapes 'Series" of the berlin record label K7 Records. (The first two were, respectively, recorded by The Rapture and The Big Pink).
It seems a cassette mixtape, with a division, at least conceptually, in side A and side B. The album reflects the band's 5 years of life, many of which spent in tour on an old mail delivery van, cheered by Math rock, Greek folk music, the first demo of Metronomy, Arthur Russell. The result is an eclectic mix that blends electronic, world music, gospel and house, as said by Edwin Congreave, DJ and keyboardist of the band.
